PSYCHIFORMS

Throughout this collection, my work envisions the beginnings of thought as form; first emerging through a haze of cognition, the holographic impressions of physical experience and intangible memory.

Then as thought takes focus, the forms evolve to sharp vortexes of intricate vines, looping stems, concaving and convexing structures. A form striving for recognition.

I paint intuitively free from direct references. My brush lets the form take shape organically as if it were growing simultaneously in a dimension beyond human vision.

I imagine the forms building a language, one which imprints our existence onto an infinite archive, just like light onto a holographic plate.

symmetrical yet never perfectly so, familiar yet otherworldly.

Life as we understand it compressed and warped into shapes that avoid categorisation.
